Travelling By Car:
From M62
Follow signs for city centre (Edge Lane). Observe Gardeners’ Arms
(public house on right). Observe McDonalds on left. After about
2 miles. Jet filling station on right. Take right hand lane. At second
set of lights after JET filling station, turn right (Hall Lane). Continue
through next traffic lights (across Prescot Rd) then bear left on to
Islington. Head down hill towards TGWU building (large concrete
mass) then bear right (not sharp right), taking right hand lane into
Hunter Street, proceed downhill, through lights, onto Byrom Street. University
is now on right. Continue through traffic lights. Approx. 30 yards
after lights, turn right into access lane. Cross other carriageway
and turn sharp left at lights, entering by security lodge. Report
to security staff.
From A565, A59, M53, Wallasey tunnel, etc.
Take signs for City Centre. Approx. 1/2 mile after exit of Wallasey tunnel
turn sharp left at traffic lights. Report to security staff.
From Birkenhead (A41)
Emerge from tunnel. Turn left at roundabout but do not double back on
yourself. Continue through pedestrian and traffic lights. After junction,
take right hand lane. Observe University building on right. Continue
through next set of lights. Approx., 30 yards after lights, turn right
into access lane. Cross other carriageway and turn sharp left at lights.
Report to security staff.

Take escalator from Lime Street Inter City station towards Lime Street
(low level Merseyrail station). Continue past Merseyside entrance and
emerge from subway (exit is up steps ahead). Turn right. Advance 100
yards. Turn right down St John’s lane and turn right at the bottom
of St John’s gardens (rear of St George’s Hall). Walk round
the left end of the row of buildings which is ahead of you (Museum & Galleries
Building) at the back of this building bear right. Go up to aerial walkway/stairs
and cross dual carriageway via the flyover system. Byrom Street building
of University is now ahead of you. Follow the path from the flyover around
to the front of the building into Reception. You will then be directed
by the receptionist to the Peter Jost Conference Centre entrance which
is located on the 1st floor of the Peter Jost Building, through the James
Parsons building, follow the gravel path and up the stone steps. Main
reception is directly ahead.
The 500 bus runs from the airport to the city centre
and main hotels. |
